In the latest episode of Inside Eugene, Marin Stuart sits down with Jeremy Schropp of Harmonic Laboratory to explore the creativity and community spirit behind Artistic Encounters, the City of Eugene’s free lunchtime concert series.

Running since 2018, Artistic Encounters brings live performances to Kesey Square every Tuesday through Thursday from May to September. Jeremy shares how the program grew out of Eugene’s original busking initiative, how performers are selected and why diversity and community representation are central to the series’ mission. We also talk about special spotlight weeks, memorable past performances — from pop up circus acts to projection based art — and how these events help energize downtown, support local businesses and create a welcoming space for everyone.
