Cascadia Wildlands and Mud City Old Time Society are joining forces for a night of community, dancing and fun with a fall hoedown! This is a FREE event and all are welcome. Feel free to make a donation to Cascadia Wildlands at the door.

⌚️ Friday, Sept. 18, 6-9 p.m.
📍 Farmers Market Pavilion, 85 E. 8th Ave.

Enjoy gender inclusive square dancing brought to you by Mud City Old-Time Society, with What the Devil laying down hot tunes and Melissa Takush calling squares. Old-time square dancing is taught by the caller, so you don’t need any experience, special clothes/shoes or even a partner because there will be lots of great people to dance with. There will be a live band featuring fiddle, double bass, guitar and banjo, which will provide hard-driving dance tunes all night!

Other Activities:
🔸 Native plant sale brought to you by Doak Creek Native Plant Nursery. Proceeds from the sale will support Cascadia Wildlands’ conservation programs.
🔸 Food trucks to grab some bites in between dancing and games
🔸 Local libations provided by Gratitude Brewing and RainSong Vineyard
🔸 And more!

Local artist Paz Méndez specializes in linocut/woodcut printmaking, and he hand-carved a printing block of the Fiesta Cultural logo (designed by Erick Wonderly Varela). He’ll be at Fiesta with an ink press from Whiteaker Printmakers, and the first 100 people to come to him will receive a free print, created onsite!

Join us 5:30-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at the Farmers Market Pavilion. Fiesta Cultural is co-produced by Lane Arts Council and Cultural Services, City of Eugene. Learn more: lanearts.org/fiesta-cultural/

Paz Méndez is a self-taught artist who creates vibrant images full of movement using eco-friendly materials. His artwork is inspired by the natural world in the Pacific Northwest and his Central American heritage. All of his art prints are carved by hand, inked by hand and printed by hand.
