Bite of Eugene Fifth Annual Bite of Eugene: July 20th 2012 This year's event will be held on July 20th from 11am-10pm at Alton Baker Park in Eugene.

The 5th annual American Family Insurance Bite of Eugene is a celebration of our local food scene and culinary culture with a focus on sustainability. Admission is $5 for adults, children 12 & under are free. Food and beverages at the event will be priced and sold by the various participating local vendors. Food booths will be offering "bites" of their locally created provisions. Local beer and win

e will also be offered along with non-alcoholic beverages. A wide array of entertainment is also available, including cooking classes, foodie seminars, local music, family/children's area, and a live local "Iron Chef" competition. People can now sign up to volunteer at the Bite of Eugene by visiting our website and clicking on "VOLUNTEER!" or by going directly to biteofeugene.com/volunteer.php

Volunteers are needed for all areas of the Bite, including the Kids Area, music and event stages, the beer and wine garden, and a multitude of other jobs. The available shifts are:

Volunteers are still needed for Bite of Eugene!

This year's Bite of Eugene is going to be Saturday, July 20th from 11am to 10pm at Alton Baker Park. In addition to tons of great food, beer/wine/mead, and other local beverages, this year will include live music, free culinary classes and DIY seminars, a kid's area, lots of local vendors, and (of course) the Iron Chef Eugene competition.

Needless to say, it's a big act to put on, and we're looking for a few good foodies to help out. Here's the scoop:

Available shifts:
Friday, July 19th - 5pm to 8pm
Saturday, July 20th - 10am to 2pm
Saturday, July 20th - 1:30pm to 6pm
Saturday, July 20th - 5:30pm to 10pm

What you get:
Free admission all day long (kids under 12 are free!)
A Bite of Eugene t-shirt (make sure to tell us your size)
