Happening right now! Free and open to our BIPOC community. We will be here tabling until 4, come say hi! 👋

On June 6, the NAACP Eugene-Springfield Branch is hosting a free community Health Fair for our BIPOC community at the Clear Lake Community Center in Eugene.

Because healthcare access should not depend on income, insurance status, immigration status, transportation, language access, or luck.

The event will include:
• Free dental screenings and services through a mobile dental van
• Free cancer screenings and health education
• Free eye screenings
• Stop the Bleed emergency response training
• First aid kit making and preparedness activities
• A diaper bank with essential family supplies
• Community outreach booths with local organizations and resources
• Free food and opportunities to connect with community
Health fairs like this help bridge gaps in healthcare access while building relationships, sharing lifesaving information, and making care more accessible at the community level.

Esta es una actualización final sobre nuestra revisión del incidente que ocurrió en los alrededores del Edificio Federal de Eugene el 30 de enero de 2026. Conclusión Final
El 2 de abril de 2026 revisé el informe completo de la revisión del incidente realizado por el Departamento de Policía de Eugene. Supervisé su investigación y encontré que fue completa, exhaustiva y justa. Tampoco identificaron ninguna infracción por parte de los miembros del Departamento de Policía de Eugene.

Sus hallazgos fueron consistentes con los que yo encontré durante la investigación preliminar. Con base en su revisión detallada, no encontré evidencia adicional o nueva que justificara cambiar la clasificación de revisión de incidente a otra categoría. En este momento, el caso se considera cerrado sin necesidad de acciones adicionales.
