Food for Lane County (FFLC) is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit food bank dedicated to reducing hunger by engaging our community to create access to food. We accomplish this by soliciting, collecting, rescuing, growing, preparing, and packaging food for distribution through a 150-member network of human service agencies and programs; through public awareness, education and community advocacy. s a United Way of Lane County agency, member of the Oregon Food Band Network, and a distribution partner of Feeding America, the nation's food bank. We serve the emergency food needs for a population base of 382,000 people living in the 4,722 square miles of Lane County. includes a warehouse, office, industrial kitchen, freezer and cooler space, and pickup and delivery trucks. Our West Broadway warehouse features a 3,500-square foot freezer, and is the food distribution hub for partner agencies. In 2019-20, we distributed 8.29 million pounds of food. Women'sGift went above and beyond for us during their annual fundraiser. We are thrilled to announce that this powerhouse group raised $27,236 to help combat food insecurity in our community, an equivalent of more than 50,000 meals. Two chances to catch our Mobile Pantry this week!

We'll be in Cottage Grove on Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30pm, and heading to the Bob Keefer Center in Springfield on Friday from 4 to 6pm. All are welcome, and remember to bring your bags!

We did it with your help! iHeartMedia, our local Toyota dealers, and Fred Meyer hosted TWO Fill the Truck Food Drives recently, and we were touched by how our neighbors came out with big hearts and bigger donations! Across two events, we raised over 1,100 pounds of shelf-stable food, equivalent to 946 meals. Thank you to Fred Meyer stores in Santa Clara & Springfield for hosting, Kendall Toyota of Eugene & Lithia Toyota of Springfield for facilitating, and iHeartMedia for their support!

Thank you Lane County neighbors and volunteers, and especially our tireless postal workers for making the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive another success. Because of your generosity, we raised over 40,000 pounds across the entire county. That's equivalent to 33,318 meals! It's a great example of community action and how small contributions spread far and wide can have a huge impact.

We're so excited to expand the map and bring the Mobile Pantry to our neighbors in Pleasant Hill. That's right, starting Thursday, June 18th, we'll set up shop at the Pleasant Hill Community Center. Going forward, we'll be there TWICE a month, on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 11am to 1pm. Please remember to bring your shopping bags, and as always, all are welcome.
