Unfortunately, our website is struggling this morning (it's Monday, we get it ), and we're very sorry for the trouble.

As we work on a solution, you can reach us with questions about our services through our Business Line, available 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, at 541-484-9791.

Our 24-hour Crisis & Support Line is also always available at 541-343-7277 or 844-404-7700. While our website's chat feature is offline, you can text the 541 number during business hours.

Then vs. now.

Ever been curious about how demand for SASS's services has changed? Since July 2022, we've seen some significant increases in demand:
➡️ The total number of participants in SASS services grew from 1510 to 1726 -- that's a 13% increase.
➡️ The total number of calls/chats/texts to our Crisis & Support Line grew from 1188 to 1714 -- that's a 44% increase.
➡️The total number of contacts grew from 2143 to 3827 -- that's a 78% increase.

The data is clear: more people are seeking more services and looking for more support. This doesn't mean that more people are experiencing assault. Rather, it means that more people are getting access to the care they deserve.

Feeling activated this holiday season? We get it. This time of year can be hard. For some survivors, grounding with sensory stimuli can be a helpful way to restore the some calm to the nervous system. Sensory grounding techniques can include:

🧶Build a texture kit! Collect objects with textures that you enjoy: knit blankets, smooth stones, nubby paper, woven baskets, etc. When you’re feeling overloaded, pick out an item and use it for mindful touch.

🧴Make a scent library! Collect candles, lotions, essential oils, etc., in your favorite scents. Are there smells you associate with good memories or calm feelings? When you’re feeling unsettled, ground yourself in the sensory experience of one of those aromas.

🎶Curate a playlist! What songs or sounds soothe you or make you feel calm? Create a playlist with a comforting soundscape, whether that’s music, white noise, or the ambient sound of someplace like a coffee shop.

You deserve to feel like your body is a safe place to be. If you need support, SASS is here to here 24/7.
