Monday and Tuesday we participated in drills with Eufaula City Schools (Eufaula High School, Admiral Moorer Middle School, Eufaula Elementary School, and Eufaula Primary School). Cardiac Emergency Response Teams have been set up at each of these schools and these drills were designed prepare them before confronted with real emergency. It is always best to be proactive instead of reactive. Thanks to Carly Wilborn and Capt. Rena Jones for getting this organized and to the EFD staff that participated. (Lt. Lan McGriff-AEMT, Jonavius Turner- AEMT, Ryne Andrews- AEMT, Bryant Pearce-EMT, Cade Simmons-Paramedic, Jacob Shiver- EMT)

This week we hosted a Technical Rescue Personnel: Rope Rescue Awareness and Operations class. Our department is proud to have had nine of our personnel in the class, alongside members from Ozark FD, Andalusia FD, White Oak VFD, and the State of Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office. The skills learned this week will prove invaluable during our first responder’s careers and further their training to provide top notch service to their communities. Congratulations gentlemen and keep moving forward!
