Join the Grow More, Give More 250 Pound Challenge!

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Alabama Extension is encouraging every county to donate 250 pounds of fresh produce to help fight food insecurity in our communities. Every pound counts!

Plant a little extra this season and donate fresh fruits and vegetables to local families, food banks, churches, and community organizations in need. Great crops include tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers, okra, beans, melons, and more!

-Our staff helped with Barbour County Elementary School Field Day. Our stations were a color run and co****le games.
-We appreciate volunteers Jessie and Bill Brown for manning the co****le station; Alabama Power for providing water, popcorn, and cheese sticks for the students🍿🧀; and Wiregrass RC&D for providing color and co****le games.
