Eudora Firefighters Foundation The Eudora Firefighters Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to support and serve the Firefighters of Eudora, KS and the community it serves.

The Eudora Firefighters Foundation was founded in July of 2013 by members of the Eudora City Fire Department. It was founded to meet two goals. The first was to be able to quickly respond to a need for benevolence within the Foundation in the event of new births, marriages and the death of a family member. Members dues are paid towards a fund to provide gift cards or flowers on behalf of the Found

ation during these significant life events. The second goal was to have the ability to fund raise for the Foundation or for the fire departments of which our members serve. These funds could be used to purchase and gift equipment or to provide benevolence to our members or to the community of Eudora, KS. The Foundation is open to any firefighter that lives or serves in the City or Township of Eudora. New members must fill out a form and be voted in at a quarterly meeting. The Foundation passed its By-laws in November of 2013. The business of the Foundation is executed by the Executive Board which includes the President, Vice President/Secretary and the Treasurer. We are excited to continue to grow and add members. We continue to explore new benefits and needs of our members and the community of Eudora. The original name of this organization was Eudora Firefighters Association. The membership voted to change the name to Eudora Firefighters Foundation in 2022.

Coat Drive Going on Now!

Eudora City Fire Department is proud to announce the return of the "Coats for Kids" Drive for 2025. This annual initiative directly supports the warmth and well-being of students in the Eudora community.

Your Donation Makes a Local Impact:

Coats, gloves, and caps will be distributed through The Birds Nest program with Eudora Schools to ensure students in need receive winter warmth.

Remaining items will be available for free giveaway at the Eudora Fire Station on select dates (dates to be posted soon).

How to Help: We are collecting new or gently used kids' winter coats, as well as new gloves and caps.

Collection Period: The drive is underway and continues through Monday, November 24th.

Drop-Off Locations: Please place your donated items in the collection boxes located in the lobbies of the Fire Department or the Police Department at the Public Safety Building (930 Main St).

Thanks once again to our community partner, Scotch Cleaners in Lawrence, who generously provides professional cleaning for all used coats at no charge!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Keith Spence, a valued member of the Eudora Firefighters Foundation and a retired Captain of the Eudora Fire Department.

Keith was an extraordinary man whose life was defined by service, compassion, and commitment to others. He dedicated 20 years to the Eudora Fire Department, and for the past 12 years, he served as a member of our foundation — including 8 years as Vice President. His unwavering devotion and leadership have left a lasting impact on our organization and our community.

Keith’s legacy of service and kindness will continue to inspire us all. He will be deeply missed.

This mannequin is the EFF's most recent purchase; an example of how we are carrying out the organization's mission to support the members of ECFD. This airway mannequin will help train members in airway and breathing skills and techniques during department medical trainings. The department medical trainings give the members continued education credits for recertification of their EMS licenses as well as review and practice of critical EMS skills. A big thanks to all who have paid dues and donated money to make this purchase a reality!

Members from Eudora City Fire Department helped distribute door hangers today to raise awareness for an upcoming smoke alarm drive! We will be working with American Red Cross to install free smoke alarms in Eudora homes later this month!

Hello everyone. The EFF is proud to announce that the IRS has awarded us 501c3 status! This means we are now tax deductible as well as donors can now deduct contributions they make to us from their taxes. Thank you to everyone for the love and support!
