This evening, four members have placed brand new turnout gear into service! The order included:

Helmets
Gloves
Particulate hoods
Coats
Pants
Boots

This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support from our borough and community! We sincerely thank each and every one of you for your ongoing support. This investment helps keep your local firefighters safe with top-of-the-line gear!

Rope Rescue Awareness & Operations class! Today was a continuation of our rope rescue class with Southern Allegheny Valley Emergency Services. This morning, crews reviewed all rope equipment and new technology that has recently been placed into service, along with lowering and hauling systems. After lunch, crews focused on high-angle systems being lowered over a ledge from above to make contact with a patient. Crews will continue working tomorrow. We appreciate the Borough of Etnas support in allowing us to use the new borough building, which contributed to the class's success and allowed us to accomplish many important skills.
