Family caregivers often help coordinate appointments, manage medications, provide transportation, and support individuals throughout treatment, recovery, and survivorship. Caregivers can participate in Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an evidence-based program that provides practical skills for managing stress, improving communication, and maintaining personal well-being.

ISU Extension and Outreach - Emmet county would like to extend a sincere thank you for awarding us a $3,000 grant for our Farm Safety Day Program! Farm Safety Day is a program for ELC 4th graders where they learn safety on a farm as well as water safety, fire safety and how to call 911. It's partnerships and donations like these that allow us to continue to bring these great programs to our community! Thanks so much!

🌸🌱 Join Garden Club This Summer! 🌱🌸
Calling all young gardeners! 🌼🪴 Come learn how to plant, water, and watch nature bloom at our fun, hands-on Garden Club program hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach!
👧🧒 Who? Open to all Kindergarten–3rd-grade gardeners
📅 When? Wednesdays from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (beginning June 3rd & ending August 5th)
📍 Where? At the ISU Extension Office (26 S 1st St, Estherville, IA)
💵 Cost: $15 per participant
Participants will have the opportunity to explore gardening, learn how plants grow, and enjoy fun nature-based activities! 🌻🌷🌞

⚽️ GET YOUR GAME ON THIS SUMMER! ⚽️
Emmet County Extension and Outreach is bringing summer soccer back to Emmet County for the THIRD summer! 🌟 This NO-COST program is an exciting opportunity provided through the 4-H Forward organization and is open to students in 5th through 8th grade (as of May 2026).
📅 Camp Dates: Monday–Thursday
🕐 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (beginning July 20 and ending July 30)
📍 Location: ELC practice football field
Participants will grow their soccer skills while learning about nutrition and healthy living through engaging, hands-on curriculum activities.
⏰ Registration closes July 2nd at 4:30 PM!
