Royal View Mountain House

Look who showed up for breakfast last June. Eating breakfast at the counter and heard something on the deck. Noticed this big fellow coming up for a peek. Once he saw us through the glass, he made his way down the stairs and across the road to the West of Royal View.

He came back a few evenings later. Nice visitor. Not aggressive at all. Glad we can enjoy the occasional wildlife sightings.

Spent a few days in 2016 working on the shutters for the cabin. Sanded off all of the old varnish, made some general repairs then painted with a great exterior paint. Hopefully, they will need only minor maintenance each year and last another 3 decades. We will see and time will tell.

Marty and Laura will open the Mountain House this year. We are headed up on Friday, May 26th and will be there through Friday, June 9th.

We are expecting Kyle Allen to come up the week of June 5th to acclimate to the altitude before heading to Montana.

It looks like Leslie and Scott Bradshaw will arrive on June 14th and stay through June 24th.

Not sure when Mom and Dad will arrive, but I know they are looking forward to being in the mountains this year.

A "Blue Moon" just above the mountains on Sept. 1, 2012.
