Each year our 4th grade students get to participate in Engineering Brightness in Mrs. G's Computer Science class. Engineering Brightness is a philanthropic project through which students learn basic circuitry and soldering skills to create solar rechargeable lanterns. Students collaborate to create a lantern, and the Engineering Brightness Organization works to send them to light-poverty communities around the world.

Thank you to Polly Greenblatt, Nick Gooch, and Jen Maley who help organize and make this program, which supports global awareness, happen each year!! Watch this video to learn more about it!!

Our School Board Student Spotlight recognized April Martinez for her outstanding accomplishments in FCCLA!
April recently participated in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Conference, competing in Early Childhood Education Level 3, where she earned an impressive 2nd place finish. Her hard work, dedication, and passion for early childhood education truly stood out.
This summer, April will travel to Washington, D.C. to compete at the National FCCLA Conference. We are so proud of her achievement and excited to see all she accomplishes on the national stage! 🎉

Our 1st graders imagined monsters and wrote their backstories, then our high school art students brought those creations to life through clay sculptures and Shrinky D**k keychains. What a fun collaboration and a great way to connect creativity across grade levels!
