A new Wildfire Partnership is being formed to bring communities together to reduce wildfire risk, increase community resilience, and improve communication, evacuation readiness, and fuel mitigation along the Highway 211 corridor between Eagle Creek and Molalla.

As of 8/11/26 8:00 AM, the City has entered Stage 1 Water Curtailment.
**Actions:**
1. **Curtail Water Use:** We’re asking everyone to reduce their water use by 10%.
2. **City Action:** The city will stop watering lawns on public property.
3. **Outdoor Watering:** Avoid watering outdoors during daylight hours.
4. **Lawn Watering:** Water your lawns no more than twice a week.
5. **HOA Penalties:** Homeowners Associations (HOAs) will be penalized if they fine residents for brown lawns.
6. **Vehicle Washing and Pools:** Hold off on washing vehicles or filling pools and fountains

The Austin Fire is burning on the north side of Forest Road 46, about 2 miles west of FR 4650 junction. It is at least 30 acres. Cause is currently undetermined. There are currently two engines with additional resources enroute.

The Narrows Fire update: Fire did not appear to grow much overnight, aided by cooler temperatures. A helicopter was able to drop one bucket on the fire this morning, before being diverted to nearby Austin Fire.

Time to get out the lederhosen and dirndl skirts because the Downtown Estacada Commission (DEC) is planning “Estacada Oktoberfest” for September 26, 2026 in Downtown Estacada. This event will include fun activities such as a costume contest, pumpkin painting, pie eating, polka music, traditional food and beer.

Outdoor water use has the biggest impact during the summer.

With hot, dry weather continuing, now is a great time to reduce outdoor water use and help delay the need for water curtailment. Plus, it helps lower your monthly water bill!

Here are a few ways to conserve water outside:
• Do a landscape water audit (free for Estacada residents!).
• Water at dusk or dawn.
• Plant drought resilient native plants.
• Visit the splash pad.
• Wash your car on the lawn.

Every gallon saved helps protect our community's water supply. Thank you for doing your part!
