Yesterday, we had our first annual Kindness Karnival and it was a huge success!
At Estacada Middle School, kindness plays an essential role in our everyday life. Whether it's in the way students interact with one another or with staff, we encourage everyone to lead with respect and positivity. Let’s continue to show kindness in our community and set a great example for our fellow Tigers!🐯🧡

Next week is Spirit Week, and we’re excited to see our students show their school spirit! Since Halloween falls on Friday, students are welcome to wear costumes to school on Thursday—as long as they follow our costume guidelines below to ensure everyone has a fun and safe day.
Costume Guidelines:
No masks or full-face coverings (faces must be visible).
No blood, gore, or weapons (real or fake).
Wear school-appropriate shoes—avoid footwear that limits normal movement.
No inflatable costumes.
No hate speech or offensive themes.
Administrators reserve the right to make final decisions regarding costumes if needed.
We can’t wait to celebrate Spirit Week and see everyone’s creativity and school pride!🐯🎃

Hello EMS families!

Fall Picture Day is coming up next week on Wednesday, 9/10. Please make sure your student comes to school on time next Wednesday, ready to have their photo taken! Picture packets will be sent home later this week. You can send your student with a check on Wednesday, or you can order prints online.

Welcome back, EMS Tigers! 🐾
The start of the school year has us feeling grr-eat🐯🎉 On Monday, we welcomed our brand-new 6th graders, and on Tuesday our returning students brought the energy back to campus. The halls were buzzing (and hot!) as we showed students around, practiced our expectations, and swapped summer stories. ☀️📚

For 7th and 8th grade families-
Welcome to a new school year! We are excited to have all of our 6th–8th grade students back in the building on Tuesday. Whether your student is brand new to our school or returning for another year, we are looking forward to a great start together. Over the past week, our teachers and staff have been preparing classrooms, planning engaging lessons, and participating in professional learning to ensure we’re ready for a strong and successful year. We are eager to partner with you in supporting your student’s growth and learning.

Here is the schedule for Tuesday (All Students):
7:15 AM – Doors open. Students may enter through the gym doors, connect with friends, and grab breakfast.
7:25 AM – First bell. All students will head to the Auditorium for a Welcome Assembly.
After the assembly, students will go to their Success Class. At that time, they will receive a printed copy of their schedule along with their locker number and combination.
Students will then follow their regular A1 day schedule.
As we begin the year, our commitment remains the same: to provide a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment for every student. Thank you for your partnership as we work together to make this a year of growth, achievement, and memorable experiences.

We can’t wait to see all of our Tigers on Tuesday!

Dear Families,
We hope you had a wonderful summer and some time to rest and recharge. We’re excited to welcome our 6th-grade students back on Monday and kick off the school year together. This past week, teachers and staff have been busy with trainings and preparing classrooms to ensure we’re ready for a strong start. To support our newest Tigers as they transition to middle school, we have a special schedule planned for Monday.
Monday Schedule (6th Grade Only)
7:15 AM – Doors open. Students may enter through the gym doors, connect with friends, and grab breakfast.
7:25 AM – First bell. All students head to the Auditorium for a Welcome Assembly. Our 7th- and 8th-grade student leaders will be on hand to help with directions.
Following the assembly, students will meet their Success Teacher, receive their lockers, and have time to practice opening them.
Students will also visit each of their classes and meet their teachers.
Tuesday Schedule (All Students)
7:15 AM – Doors open. Students may enter through the gym doors, connect with friends, and grab breakfast.
7:25 AM – First bell. All students head to the Auditorium for a Welcome Assembly.
Students will go to their Success Class.
Students will follow the regular A1 day schedule.
As we begin the year, our focus is on creating a safe, supportive, and challenging environment where every student can learn and grow. We value our partnership with you and look forward to a great year ahead.
