****IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT****
Tinicum Township Fire Company is pleased to announce that a dedicated Advanced Life Support (ALS) unit provided by Narberth Ambulance has been restored as of 6am this morning to serve Tinicum Township and the neighboring communities of Prospect Park, Norwood, Glenolden, and Ridley Park residents.
Since the closure of Crozer EMS, these communities have been without a dedicated ALS unit and have relied on mutual aid resources from Narberth Ambulance, Mercy Fitzgerald EMS, and VMSC EMS for ALS emergency medical care.
During that time, Tinicum Township Fire Company Leadership has worked with municipal leaders from Tinicum Township and the surrounding communities to help restore this much-needed service to our area.
We are grateful to the municipal leaders of Tinicum Township, Prospect Park, Norwood, Glenolden, and Ridley Park for recognizing the importance of restoring dedicated ALS coverage and for working together to make it possible.
This dedicated ALS unit will be provided and staffed by Narberth Ambulance. Tinicum Township Fire Company has worked closely with Narberth Ambulance since they assumed responsibility for ALS coverage in Ridley Township and we look forward to continuing that partnership as they restore a dedicated ALS resource to our communities.
The restoration of this service is an important step forward for emergency medical care in our area. Tinicum Township Fire Company looks forward to continuing to work alongside Narberth Ambulance and our neighboring municipalities to provide reliable, high-quality emergency medical services to the residents and visitors of our communities.
