As we continue to move towards unprecedented times, please don't be afraid to ask for help. If you are over the age of 60 or immunocompromised, and afraid or unwilling to fight the crowds for groceries, please message the pantry. We will help you find someone to make a delivery!

We are suggesting all items be wiped or sprayed with disinfectant if you are leaving or taking at this time. We also understand that cleaning supplies can be hard to find right now, but if at all possible it would be appreciated. The interior, exterior handles, and glass will be wiped down regularly. This is the best way we can think of to try and prevent the spread of any germs. It seems the government is very concerned at this time, and we want to help protect the many seniors that rely on the pantry.

We are also asking that you please do not stop donating. The pantry has been going well for quite some time now. It is often well stocked and it would not be possible without the help of everyone.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to our Thanksgiving dinner families! We will be dropping those off tomorrow and they will both be receiving large donations.

We've actually had several people ask about another local family that had a house fire after our last post. They have assured us that they are no longer in need of any items.

Thank you again for making this community so great, have a great Thanksgiving! πŸ¦ƒβ€

We have had a few suggestions for our Thanksgiving dinner donation, and we have decided to do things a little differently this time around. We have always kept our recipients anonymous, but we have two families in the community that are facing hardships this year and we are going to name them since they are such unique situations. Hopefully we can help them enjoy the holiday a little bit more! If you would like to donate, you can message us on Facebook or text (573)421-6722.

The Thornton family from Grayridge lost everything to a house fire last week. They are a family of four and requested canned food, and their favorites are green beans and corn. We will be sure to get them a turkey also.

Olivia Pind is a fourth grader from Essex that was recently diagnosed with synovial sarcoma cancer. She is undergoing her first round of chemotherapy at St. Jude in Memphis, and will be unable to come home for Thanksgiving. Her mother and grandmother are staying with her during her treatment. We will be sending them a Kroger gift card since we can't send food.

Every year we donate a meal to a family in need for Thanksgiving. We need your help in a couple of different ways.
First, we need family suggestions. If you know of someone who needs a meal this Thanksgiving, please private message this page. PLEASE do not post names on this post, they will be deleted.
We also need your help with donations to make this meal possible. We normally have a turkey and all the sides to go with it.
We thank the community for all of the support in the past and look forward to continuing to help in the future. πŸ—πŸŒ½β€

City hall has graciously offered to set up an area to help keep produce cool. There will be a table inside the building, and you may give or take donations between 8-5, Monday through Friday. We are very grateful for such a generous community!
