SLAM T1D Our mission is to support people of all ages living with T1D (Type 1 diabetes) And we're going to have a blast doing it!

SPORTS and ENTERTAINMENT are our primary platforms, but we'll use any medium to advance the fight. SLAMT1D seeks to:
- Expand awareness outside the T1D community;
- Broaden support for the fight against T1D; and
- Energize the T1D community to take bold, new initiatives to raise awareness. We're not bashful, and we make no apologies for our approach.

Most Type 1 diabetes fundraisers focus on finding a cure someday. And we need that.

But what if we also asked a different question: How can we help people living with T1D right now?

This week's episode is a little different. I take you behind the scenes of a documentary I'm working on called More Than a Game: The SLAMT1D Summer Classic and share why this story has left such an impression on me.

On behalf of our EDGE Tennis Team, we are proud to spotlight SlamT1D for our 6th Month of Giving for 2026!

A nonprofit community dedicated to raising awareness and amplifying the voices of people living with type 1 diabetes, SlamT1D was the perfect choice for our June spotlight, as one of our Tennis Pros, Damon Fitch, lives with type 1 diabetes. Through sport, storytelling, and community events, they highlight the grit, resilience, and strength it takes to live with T1D.
