🚨🔥Structure Fire Response – Hickory Grove Allotment 🔥🚨

At approximately 5:40 AM this morning, the 17 House and the First Alarm structure fire assignment were dispatched to a reported fully involved residential structure fire on Spruce Drive in the Hickory Grove Allotment.

Engine 17-2 arrived first on scene and confirmed a fully involved house fire. The initial crew quickly deployed two handlines and began an aggressive fire attack. Engine 17-1 arrived shortly thereafter, laying approximately 600 feet of large-diameter hose (LDH) from the intersection of Forest Drive to establish a reliable water supply.

As additional crews arrived, firefighters worked together to support fire suppression efforts, establish and maintain water supply operations, provide EMS standby and firefighter rehabilitation, and conduct overhaul operations. Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours before returning to service.

North Shenango Fire Department would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family affected by this devastating fire. While the damage is significant, they were able to safely escape with just minor smoke inhalation. Red Cross has already been in contact and will be assisting them.

In addition to Engine 17-2 and Engine 17-1, the First Alarm assignment included:

• Andover Volunteer Fire Department
• Linesville Volunteer Fire Department
• Summit Township Volunteer Fire Department
• Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department
• Fallowfield Volunteer Fire Department
• Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department
• EmergyCare Ambulance Service
• Conneaut Lake Regional Police Department

NSFD would like to sincerely thank all of our mutual aid partners for their assistance, professionalism, and teamwork during this incident. The strong working relationships between our departments continue to make a difference when our communities need us most.
