The Capay Valley community attended the Yolo County HHSA Public Heath, Traffic Safety Program at Esparanza Crossing Mercy Housing.They had a meeting and Walking Aduit, to discuss the safety of pedestrians walking on Yolo Ave/Hwy 16 in Esparto. It was interesting to try to walk across Yolo Ave while cars are speeding by and the drivers don't understand how to get through the bend in the road from Yolo Ave onto Hwy 16, to continue out to the Capay Valley area. It was an educational experience. People were able to ask questions, make comments and express their opinions on how to have safer streets/hwy. We look forward to hearing about the possible solutions, so our children can walk to school, play and be safe!

Come on over to the Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Audit in Esparto, regarding the Yolo County's Traffic Safety Program TODAY, Saturday 9:00 - 11:30 am, at the intersection of Yolo and Woodland Avenues, at 16797 County Road 87, Esparto CA, in the Community room and then walking his busy intersection at the Esperanza Crossing housing area and the Hog Canyon restaurant . We'll be discussing the traffic situation, and have a guided walk of this area. You'll have the opportunity to give your feedback to several Yolo County and State of California agencies regarding this high traffic area. See you there!

Community Project Update!

Have you noticed the flower boxes around town looking a little brighter lately? That’s thanks to the incredible hard work and dedication of our local students!

Under the leadership of Junior Chamber Member Anderson Martinez, these flower boxes have been given a fresh new coat of paint and are being transformed into beautiful community spaces. The students have already started adding new plants, and this is just the beginning—even more color is on the way! 🌺🌼

What makes this project even more special is that the students aren’t just planting flowers—they’ve taken ownership of the project by committing to regular maintenance, including watering, caring for, and replanting as needed to keep the flower boxes thriving.

Their pride, teamwork, and commitment to making our community more beautiful are truly inspiring. ❤️

If you see these students out working or around town, please take a moment to give them a shoutout and thank them for making such a positive difference. Your encouragement means a lot!

A huge thank you to Anderson Martinez for leading this wonderful Junior Chamber project and to all of the students whose hard work is already making our community bloom! 🌷🌿

The Esparto Junior Chamber, led by Anderson Martinez, is working to beautify the six raised flowerbeds along Yolo Avenue. They currently looking for donations of flowers! To finish their project!

Every donation, big or small, helps them create a more beautiful and welcoming downtown for our community.
