Working to end sexual violence also involves ending tech-enabled sexual abuse, including image-based sexual abuse & nonconsensual distribution of intimate images. The forms vary & are ever-evolving—sextortion, deepfakes, cyber-flashing, spycams. Learn more about current laws here: https://cybercivilrights.org/existing-laws/ . These forms of violence can be as devastating as those that don’t rely on technology. Resist any urge to downplay these crimes.

đź’šMay is Mental Health Awareness Month đź’š

Mental health is an important part of overall health and wellbeing. For many survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of trauma, the emotional and mental impacts can continue long after the immediate crisis has passed.

At Tri-County Safe Harbor, we understand the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces where individuals and families can access advocacy, resources, and compassionate support as they navigate healing and recovery.

This month, we encourage our community to:

✨ Check in on loved ones
✨ Practice kindness and compassion
✨ Reduce stigma surrounding mental health
✨ Reach out for support when needed

No one should have to face difficult times alone. đź’ś

🚌 Tri-County Safe Harbor recognizes that Delta County residents will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed countywide public transit millage on August 4, 2026. The proposal concerns expansion of public transportation services provided by DATA - Delta Area Transit Authority.

🤝 Tri-County Safe Harbor currently utilizes DATA transportation services to assist clients in accessing legal services, medical appointments, and other resources within our community.

📍 Since October 1, 2025, Tri-County Safe Harbor has utilized DATA services for 24 rides covering more than 50 miles to help individuals and children access needed services and employment opportunities.

đź’ś For many survivors of violence, transportation can be a significant barrier when seeking safety, support, housing, healthcare, employment, and other critical resources. We appreciate partnerships within our community that help improve access to services for those we serve.
