The Delta County Road Commission would like to remind the public of proper political & advertisement sign placement:
🚧On County Roads - signs need to be 6-8 feet from the edge of the road.
🚧On State Highways - signs need to be 30 feet from the edge line.
No signs should be placed in the intersections.

We are currently seeking quotes for landscaping cleanup services for our front office area.

Services needed include shrub trimming, weeding, removal of sidewalk overgrowth, and clearing leaves and weeds from rock beds.

This work is expected to be completed three times per year (Spring, Summer, and Fall)

The crew of the Delta County Road Commission would like to thank the public for the appreciation and generosity shown to them during this past week.
Members of the community had dropped off hot meals, sweet goods and thank you notes. It means a lot to this group of hard working people and they wanted to extend their gratitude towards you.

These walls of snow are no joke and some people are still struggling to break out of their private drives and driveways. We understand the frustration when a plow comes by and fills in the end of your driveway. This storm is leaving a massive amount of snow that some people are struggling to move even with a plow on a truck.
We have seen some posts floating around of people willing to help with larger equipment. If this sounds like something you are interested in we would greatly appreciate you sharing your contact information. You can DM us or call our office and leave your contact information. We can get your information to these people who are still needing help with their private drives/driveways.
*Especially looking for help on the Garden peninsula.

⚠❗Storm Update 3/19/26 ❗⚠
We are still at it working hard to break through the last few roads today. The phone calls are already coming in to widen roads and clean them up. Our top priority was to make sure we have opened all of the roads first and it was not easy.
We have started pushing banks back and widening, but this also will be a long process. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks go out to our hard working employees who have endured long days and brutal conditions putting up with this storm and cleanup. We also want to thank the Chippewa County Road Commission and their guys that are here right now helping us to get Delta County cleaned up.

If you are out traveling the roads we ask that you please drive carefully and be aware of your surroundings. The banks along the roads are high and make sight distance very limited. Some of the roads are extremely narrow right now- only fitting one vehicle width in portions.

⚠🚌⚠ Once school is back in session we want people to be mindful of the busses and make sure to give them plenty of room so that they do not have to get over and possibly get stuck. Also the banks at the ends of driveway could make children hard to see while waiting for the school bus.
