Good afternoon citizens of Washington county and Embreeville community.
The Embreeville Volunteer Fire Department is currently in need of a new brush unit/apparatus to replace our aging 1996 brush truck, which has faithfully served the Embreeville community and Washington County for many years. Throughout its years of service, this apparatus has responded to countless brush fires, wildland incidents, medical emergencies, and other emergency calls, playing a vital role in protecting lives, homes, farmland, and property across our community.
As emergency call volumes continue to increase and equipment demands evolve, the department is focused on ensuring our firefighters have dependable, modern apparatus capable of safely and effectively responding to emergencies in all conditions. The current brush truck has become increasingly difficult and costly to maintain due to its age, mechanical wear, and outdated equipment. Replacing this apparatus is essential to maintaining reliable emergency response capabilities for the citizens we proudly serve.
A new brush unit would significantly improve the department’s ability to respond to wildland fires, rural incidents, off-road emergencies, and mutual aid calls throughout Washington County and surrounding areas. Updated safety features, improved water delivery systems, enhanced storage capacity, and greater reliability would allow firefighters to operate more efficiently while reducing downtime and maintenance concerns.
The Embreeville Volunteer Fire Department remains committed to providing professional and dependable emergency services to our community. Investing in a replacement brush apparatus will ensure the department can continue meeting the needs of our citizens for many years to come while improving firefighter safety and operational readiness.
If anyone is aware of available brush units, surplus apparatus, grant opportunities, donations, or potential leads that could assist the department in this effort, any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Financial donations toward the purchase and outfitting of a replacement brush unit would also be sincerely appreciated and directly support the department’s mission of protecting the Embreeville community and surrounding areas.
