Thursday May 21st Station 62 was dispatched to Beachcomber Campground for reported brush fire involving a vehicle. Deputy 62 arrived a found a pick up truck and trailer in a thick pile of leaves on fire. Engine 62 stretched an extended attack line. Tanker 62 established an initial water supply. Squad 62 set up a drafting operation at the camp grounds lake. An additional tanker was also requested from Station 72. Also on scene was the New Jersey State Forrest Fire Service-C1. Units operated for a total of 5 hours before returning to service.

Members of the apparatus committee recently traveled to in Ocala Florida with First Choice Fire Apparatus to complete the final inspection of our new 2026 E‑ONE Cyclone 2,500-gallon pumper tanker.

During the visit, our members conducted a thorough inspection of the apparatus, ensuring every component meets the needs of our department. and is now one step closer to joining the fleet at Station 62.
