We wrapped up today's Board of Elections meeting on the note that today is National Voter Registration Day. Update your voter registration or help someone get registered to vote at vote.pa.gov/register

Some other business from the meeting:
▪️The ballot for the 2026 general election has been certified!
Logic and accuracy testing for the voting machines will begin next Monday, 9/21. This testing puts sample ballots through machines to ensure votes are counted exactly as a ballot is marked.
If all goes according to plan, the first day to vote early in-person at the courthouse will be Monday, September 28th. If you’ve already requested a mail ballot for this election, it should be hitting your mailbox sometime that week. We’ll follow up with a better timeline as we get closer. (Request your mail ballot at vote.pa.gov/applymailballot)

▪️Return postage on mail-in and absentee ballots continues to be paid by Erie County.

Polling place changes:
▪️Fairview 1’s polling place was moved from the Fairview Presbyterian Church to St. Stephens Episcopal Church at 1070 Dutch Road in Fairview.
