On Friday, September 11, Iroquois High School held its annual Day of Service, bringing students and staff together to give back to our community.

Throughout the day, students volunteered their time on projects throughout Lawrence Park, Wesleyville, and Erie. We were especially grateful to have so many students serving right here in Lawrence Parkโ€”building, painting, weeding, and helping wherever they were needed.

Thank you to all of the Iroquois students and staff who gave their time and talents, and to everyone who helped plan and organize another great Day of Service!

We are so grateful to see our students making a positive impact in the communities they call home.

As our community continues to recover from last nightโ€™s storm, we are asking everyone to please use extreme caution while traveling throughout Lawrence Park Township.

๐ŸŒณ Please do NOT approach downed trees, debris, wires, or other storm-damaged areas. These areas may present serious hazards, including falling branches, unstable trees, electrical hazards, and tripping or falling dangers.

๐Ÿšซ ๐๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ž๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค until our Public Works crews are able to assess the damage and determine that it is safe to enter.

Our Public Works team is working as quickly as they can, while prioritizing everyone's safety, to address each area of damage throughout the Township. We appreciate your patience and understanding as they work through the storm damage.

COMMUNITY ALERT โ€“ STORM DAMAGE

Lawrence Park Township experienced a significant storm last night that caused downed trees, debris, and several temporarily impassable roads throughout the Township.

Public Works crews are actively working to clear roadways and address immediate public safety concerns. Please use caution while traveling this morning, avoid blocked roadways, and give crews room to work.

We are also aware of the storm damage at Beute Park and will assess and address those conditions as soon as the more immediate public safety issues and roadway obstructions have been cleared.

โ€ข Be dependable and responsible
โ€ข Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
โ€ข Have current Pennsylvania clearances, including PA Child Abuse History, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance
