Erie County United Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from Erie County United, Political organisation, Erie, PA.

We organize people, workers, apartment renters and organizations to run issue-based campaigns in order to build independent political power and create life-changing policies and actions. Our organizing is focused on connecting communities of color with white working class communities in rural and ex-urban areas that have experienced disinvestment from economic opportunities and organizing resources, with the goal of rebuilding long-term organizing infrastructure.

Last Wednesday, we packed the Erie City Council meeting to share our own experiences navigating the affordability crisis and to call for solutions from our leaders. Over 40 people held the line during the marathon council meeting, with many waiting until after 10:00 PM (on a school/work night!) to ensure our voices were heard.

In recent days, our compañero Carlos Mora took part in a 130-mile march from Pittsburgh to the Moshannon Valley detention center.

It was a peaceful action to bring attention to the reality many immigrant families face—separation, detention, and harsh conditions. The march ended with a vigil in support of those detained.

As an organization, we remain committed to dignity, rights, and justice for our community.

Erie County United organizer Carlos Mora was recently part of a 130-mile march from PIttsburgh to an ICE facility in Clearfield County. See link below ⬇️

We are facing a housing and affordability crisis not just in Erie, but across the state and US. Our chapter director, Marty, joined Craig Woodard, Sr. on his podcast to discuss the underlying issues of the crisis, the effect it has on us, and how we can take actionable steps to build a future that works for all of us. Listen to Marty on the podcast, and sign up to share how the affordability and housing crisis are effecting you at the next Erie City Council meeting.
