Today, we honor and remember the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001. We are grateful to Saint Luke School for hosting its annual 9/11 Memorial, showing love for our EmergyCare EMS Crews.

In tribute to the brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who continue to serve our communities every day.

While many were enjoying the Labor Day weekend, EmergyCare crews, dispatchers, and support staff were doing what they do every day: answering the call.

From storm-related emergencies to routine calls for help, our team remained ready 24/7, providing care and support when our communities needed it most.

This Labor Day, we're especially grateful for the dedicated professionals who worked through the holiday and challenging weather conditions to keep our region safe.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of retired City of Erie Fire Chief Joe Walko.

Joe was an exceptional person who dedicated his life to serving others and making a difference in our community. His commitment to public safety extended well beyond his years as a firefighter and fire chief. Joe was also a part of EmergyCare’s earliest history, serving as one of our original part-time EMTs when the organization began in 1983.

We are grateful for the years of service Joe gave to our community and for the lasting mark he left on those fortunate enough to know and work alongside him.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Joe’s family, friends, former colleagues, and all those who mourn his loss. May his legacy of service and dedication continue to be remembered for generations to come.

Some calls remind us why teamwork matters.

EmergyCare was proud to work alongside the dedicated crew from the North Shenango Fire Department during a recent critical incident. When every second counts, successful outcomes depend on strong partnerships, clear communication, and the ability to work seamlessly together under pressure.

We are grateful for the professionalism, commitment, and teamwork displayed by our public safety partners. It is an honor to serve alongside agencies that share the same mission: helping those in need when they need us most.

🏢🚑 Yesterday, on-duty crews from EmergyCare's Greenville Division had the opportunity to tour the soon-to-open School House Commons on West Main Street in Greenville. The visit allowed staff to familiarize themselves with the building's entrances and exits, elevator locations, alarm panel, and overall layout ahead of residents moving in on October 1.

A special thank you to Brian Albaugh, Captain of the Greenville Fire Department, for leading the tour and helping our crews stay prepared to serve the community safely and effectively. We appreciate the partnership and collaboration! 👏🚒

On August 4, 2026, EmergyCare was proud to participate in three National Night Out events across our service area, connecting with families, community partners, and neighbors while promoting public safety and emergency preparedness.

These photos are from Titusville, where Samantha Watson and Zoe Fratus represented EmergyCare. Also pictured are Myles and Emmett, who stopped by to enjoy the event and help make the evening memorable!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate community, safety, and the partnerships that help keep our neighborhoods strong. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of these events and connect with the people we proudly serve.

🎉 10 Years of Service Spotlight 🎉

Today we're celebrating Bonnie Reynolds, EMT in our Warren Division, on 10 years with EmergyCare!

Bonnie's favorite part of the job is working with great coworkers and making a difference in the community. Some of her most memorable moments include helping save a young cardiac patient and assisting with the delivery of a baby en route to the hospital.

A dedicated volunteer for more than 40 years with the North Warren Volunteer Fire Department, Bonnie continues to embody the spirit of service both on and off the job.

Her message to the community: "Volunteerism has always been important to me! Encourage everyone to volunteer in your community!"

🚑❤️ What an incredible day for our community and EMS!

Congratulations to Don Erbin Jr. on being recognized for administering EmergyCare’s first prehospital blood transfusion in the field, a historic milestone that helped save a life. The patient has since recovered and returned home, a powerful reminder of the impact advanced prehospital care can have when seconds matter most.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Community Blood Bank for their partnership and commitment to ensuring lifesaving blood products are available when and where they are needed most. Today's event highlighted the vital role that blood donors play in helping make outcomes like this possible.

Thank you to everyone who participated in today's blood drive and to all who support the mission of saving lives in our community.
