Free and open to the public. The Lighthouse itself will be closed, but the shop will be open. Bring a chair, a jacket, and a flashlight and view the skies with us. 🪐💫🌟

Presque Isle Lighthouse is open today, 10am to 5pm 🎉

Please follow all rules and regulations and be mindful of posted closures on Presque Isle State Park. Thank you, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources maintenance, Rangers, and management for getting the park ready and safe for visitors! 💚

Erie Land Lighthouse is also open today and welcoming visitors!

9/6, Update #2:

Presque Isle State Park will be partially open to visitors on Labor Day, September 7 at 8:00 AM. Open areas include:
• Beach 1
• Beach 6 (Lyons Beach)
• Beach 8 (Pettinato Beach)
• The Karl Boyes Multi-Purpose Recreational Trail

Lifeguards will be at beaches 1, 6, and 8 from 10:00 AM until 5:45 PM.

All concessions will be open except the Marina fuel dock due to power lines still being down in the area.

The Presque Isle Marina and Gas Dock, the Waterworks area near the Rotary Pavilion, the park’s picnic shelters, the other beaches, and the interior hiking trails remain closed as storm clean up continues. Areas closed to the public will be marked as closed. For visitor safety, please obey the closure signs.

The Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Erie Bluffs State Park remain open to visitors for the holiday.

Shortened hours begin today, September 7!

From September 7-30, both Presque Isle Lighthouse and Erie Land Lighthouse will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 10 am - 5 pm.

(9/4 Update) ATTENTION: Presque Isle State Park will continue to be closed today, September 4, with anticipated closure through Sunday, September 6, 2026.

In addition to pedestrian access, the park closure includes access by vehicle, bicycle, boat beaching, and mooring.

Following severe storms earlier this week, the entire park is without power, and park maintenance crews continue cleanup efforts to remove a large number of downed trees while preparing areas for power pole and line repairs.

The Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Erie Bluff’s State Park remain open to visitors for the holiday weekend.

Park staff are monitoring the situation, and updates can be found on the DCNR website, here on the park’s page, or by calling the Presque Isle State Park Office at 814-833-7424.
