Erie County, in partnership with consulting firm TPMA, is developing a Comprehensive Housing Plan. As part of this effort, the County is conducting a survey to better understand local housing needs and identify ways to improve access to housing across the community. As a community member, your input on this survey is highly valued. Your responses will help us understand what is working and what is not, and will directly inform future planning to enhance housing for all residents.

Your participation is voluntary. Your responses are confidential and will only be reported at a group level. Your responses are not recorded until you click Submit on the final page of the survey. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to answer the questions honestly and accurately based on your knowledge, experiences, and perspective.

The FBI and cybersecurity officials are warning about scammers impersonating county and municipal planning, zoning, and permitting offices.

Fraudulent emails may claim your permit or application requires action and direct you to click a link or submit payment through a fake website.

Protect yourself:
• Verify the sender's email address.
• Don't click links or send payments until you've confirmed the request.
• Contact the government office directly using a trusted phone number or official website if you're unsure.

Erie County reminds residents and businesses to stay vigilant and report suspicious emails to the appropriate authorities.

The proposed county ordinance would set regulations for data center development in 12 municipalities with no local land development rules.

The Erie County Recycling Program had a great time attending the Community Agri-Fun Day in North East last Saturday! Organized by the Erie County Farm Bureau, the Agri-Fun Day teaches the community about a variety of topics like agriculture, gardening, and environmental stewardship.

The Erie County Recycling Program showed families how everyday household items, like egg cartons, paper towel rolls, newspaper, and plastic bottles can be reused as seed starter kits. Reusing or repurposing leads to a sustainable community!

A special thank you to the Penn State Master Gardeners for generously donating seeds for the event!
