We're getting closer to one of our favorite events of the year.

On October 10, join us for handmade bowls, delicious soup, bread, desserts and live music at our NEW location, the Charter School of Excellence Skill Center.

Two sessions. Hundreds of handmade bowls. Lots of good food. One great afternoon.

Kinda chic to rescue food. 🫑✨

Thanks to our friends at The Farmlink Project, 29,000 pounds of fresh peppers recently made their way to Second Harvest instead of going to waste.

That’s 29,000 pounds of good, fresh produce that can now move through our network of local food pantries and meal programs across northwest Pennsylvania.

We love seeing what’s possible when farms, food banks and community partners work together to keep good food moving.

🎓 He has degrees in Business Administration and Film/Video Editing — a pretty unique combination!

🎬 He has a creative side thanks to his background in film and video editing.

Happy Labor Day!

Today, we're taking a moment to recognize the many people whose hard work helps keep our communities moving — including our staff, volunteers, food pantry partners, donors, farmers and community supporters.

A reminder that Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania is closed today, Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen Tuesday, September 8, during normal business hours.

Thank you for all that you do throughout the year to support our neighbors across northwest Pennsylvania.
