Perseus House

Perseus House Serving at-risk youth and families through evidence based, residential and educational, programming.

Perseus House has been a place for youth in need of a safe, caring
environment for residential and specialized treatment since 1971. Since that time our services have grown into today’s wide-range of care, including court-ordered juvenile placement, Office of Children and Youth, and Mental Health service housing boys and girls in shelter prior to adjudication or in post-adjudication residential, intensive, or victim offender-specific treatment. Perseus House has responded to the needs of the Erie community and has several Community Based programs to help youth who need special assistance in school and/or before they need residential care. Our goals are to effectively intervene in the lives of seriously troubled adolescents, to assist them in avoiding future contact with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems and to help them toward a successful adulthood. Our treatment programs are designed to strengthen our clients’ and students' sense of ethics, degree of responsibility, and level of maturity. Strengthening healthy relationships, fulfilling legal obligations and employability preparation is also encouraged here at Perseus House. We integrate evidence-based practices into the curriculum and treatment planning of our clients.
