Amy Gould & Amber Lee Cooke sing Happy Birthday to Jason Heberle on his 5th birthday in heaven. He would had been 42 years old. Special thanks goes to one of our volunteers, Dena Simon for capturing this moment for the family.

As we joyfully commemorated Jason Heberle's Heavenly Birthday, his loving family, including his Mom Christine Heberle, Aunt Wendy, and cousin Jeff Chiaramonte, who are now the proud owners of Voodoo Brewing Co. - Erie Pub, invited everyone to celebrate Jason's inspiring legacy as the family embarks on new and exciting chapters as a family, including, Heberle’s Heartstrings. All this was made possible by his love of music and helping others. And though he may not be physically present, his spirit remains strong alongside the rest of the family.

Amber Lee Cooke, a contestant of past open mic competitions for Heberle’s Heartstrings was the music guest at Voodoo Brewing Co and Amy Gould another past contestant and volunteer for HH joined Cookie in singing Happy Birthday to Jason.

So yeah, the cat is out of the bag. Let us congratulate Christine Heberle, Wendy Chiaramonte & Jeff Chiaramonte on their newest adventure in reopening Voodoo Brewing Co. - Erie Pub. It will also improve our mission and our goal to host future events as well have a physical location for us promote our organization at.

🚨 Venue change — mission stays. 🚨

You may have heard that Voodoo Brewing Co. – Erie Pub has officially closed. While that venue chapter ends, our annual competition and our mission are not going anywhere. We’re pivoting, rebuilding, and working hard to make next year bigger, smoother, and even more musician-friendly; based directly on your 2025 feedback.

💛 Heberle’s Heartstrings exists to support local artists through our instrument & audio equipment lending library and opportunities like our annual open mic competition. That support only happens when our community rallies behind it.

It is a new year, with new resolutions, goals & challenges to complete for 2026. We, hope you will include Heberle’s Heartstrings, as part of your list. We are always looking for more volunteers, sponsors and donations (monetary or instruments). If you are unable to do any of those things, just by spreading the word and sharing our mission in Jason Heberle's Memorial, will help us grow and help us achieve what our goals for this year (and beyond) are.

Some goals are but not limited too;
• Continue our lending library but with more choices of instruments to borrow
• Eventually, have a permanent home for Heberle’s Heartstrings library (currently, mobile)
• Continue to have our mic competitions, bigger & better
• To help local school districts to provide lending instruments to inspiring student musicians
• Be able to participate in local events to showcase Heberle’s Heartstrings
• To continue to spread awareness and importance of music for all ages
• And much more!

Heberle’s Heartstrings can not do this without your help. For those who've helped us in the past or present, thank you! We hope you continue to do so, this year.
