"We enjoyed having Ms. Jodie in our classroom and learning helpful self-care tools that students can continue using at home and at school throughout the summer. It has been a great benefit having her join our class."

This week, Jodie visited a McDowell classroom to teach summer self-care and healthy coping skills with our "Take It Slow Turtle". Students learned ways to slow down and calm their minds and bodies when feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or upset. We're grateful for the opportunity to support youth mental health and wellness this summer. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿข

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ New Episode Alert! ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

This week on Stigma Stompers, weโ€™re joined by local musician Tyler Smilo for a powerful conversation about music, sobriety, and healing. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’š

Tyler opens up about his personal journey, the challenges heโ€™s faced, and how music became an outlet for expression, growth, and recovery. His story is a reminder that healing is possible and that sharing our experiences can help others feel less alone.

Last week, our team had the incredible opportunity to travel to Atlanta for , and what an experience it was!

From inspiring keynote speakers and impactful educational sessions to connecting with fellow NAMI affiliates from across the country, we returned energized, motivated, and full of new ideas to bring back to our community.

Of course, it wasn't all work! We also took some time to explore the beautiful city of Atlanta, visiting amazing attractions like the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Georgia Aquarium. Between the learning, networking, and adventures, there was no shortage of memorable moments.

We're grateful for the opportunity to grow, connect, and represent NAMI Erie County on a national stage. Now it's time to put what we've learned into action as we continue our mission of providing support, education, and advocacy for mental health in our community. ๐Ÿ’™

Mental health matters for every identity, this Pride Month and always. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’š
Pride is about celebrating who you are and creating space where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported. No one should have to face mental health challenges alone.
You are valid. You are worthy. Your mental health matters.
