St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center

St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center Something special is coming to Erie’s Little Italy in 2027. 🍅

A new space built to serve, support, and strengthen our community. ❤️

St. Paul’s has always been a place where family, tradition and community come together. ❤️

For many who return to the Italian Festival each year, their connection to St. Paul’s goes back to parents, grandparents and memories made right here in Erie’s Little Italy.

That same sense of connection is at the heart of the St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center—honoring the history of this community while continuing to be a place where neighbors can come together, find support and feel at home. 🇮🇹

For generations, St. Paul’s has been part of the fabric of this neighborhood. “Heart of Hope” was a message rooted in St. Paul’s School, and today, we’re carrying that legacy forward through the mission of the St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center.

To us, being the Heart of Hope means being there for our neighbors. It means creating a place where people know they are welcomed, cared for and supported. It means strengthening the neighborhood by investing in the people who call it home.

When the St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center opens its doors, it will be a place built around the needs of the community—from providing meals and access to groceries to connecting neighbors with resources, opportunities, programs and one another.

At the center of everything we do will be a simple belief: when we help our neighbors, we strengthen our entire community.

The legacy of the Heart of Hope lives on—and its next chapter is being written right here in Erie’s Little Italy. ❤️

Today is ! 🍅

At St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center, we’re excited to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank to bring a new Marketplace to Erie’s Little Italy.

Once open, the Marketplace will give our neighbors access to nutritious food in a welcoming, grocery store-style setting, allowing individuals and families to shop for the items that best fit their needs. It’s about providing more than food — it’s about creating an experience centered around choice, dignity, and community.

We’re grateful to partner with Second Harvest to bring this important resource to Little Italy, better serve our neighbors, and work together to fight hunger, one meal at a time. 💚🍴

Yesterday, our President, Tim NeCastro, attended the soft groundbreaking for MACC West. Tim joined our community partners, Jennie Hagerty of Mercy Center for Women and Boo Hagerty of the Hamot Health Foundation, to commemorate this special moment.

Together, we are the Triangle of Hope (TOH) — three organizations united by one shared vision: to serve our neighbors, strengthen our community and create lasting hope for those who need it most.

Through the Triangle of Hope, we share a commitment to uplifting others and making a meaningful difference throughout our community.

Congratulations to Mercy Center West on this exciting new chapter! ❤️

Food is the center of the home, the community, and our lives.

Despite this, 1 in 7 households in Erie County face food insecurity.

We're working to change that. We believe that food doesn't just help people survive, it helps them thrive. Through our collaboration with the Second Harvest Food Bank, we're creating a Marketplace Food Pantry that will provide families the nutritious groceries and dignity they need to succeed.✨

Together, we can bring change to our community. We can ensure every neighbor has access to the services they need the most.

Tim NeCastro joined one of our valued community partners, Jennie Hagerty of the Mercy Center for Women, at Sacred Heart Church to share an update on the Washington Square Apartments and the continued work happening within our neighborhood.

Tim and Jennie share a common goal: bringing people and organizations together to better serve Erie and create meaningful, lasting impact in our community.

Keeping our community informed is incredibly important to us. As progress continues at St. Paul’s Neighborhood Center and throughout the neighborhood, we want the people we serve, our partners, parishioners and supporters to understand not only what is happening, but the bigger vision behind it.

Following an incredible Italian Festival and Erie Gives, we’re looking forward to continuing these conversations, sharing our progress and creating more opportunities for our community to be part of what’s ahead.

We’re excited to continue building our shared vision for a stronger Erie community together. ❤️
