PTSD can affect anyone. It can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, and its impact can be felt long after the event itself has ended.
During PTSD Awareness Month, we recognize the strength of survivors who navigate healing every day. Recovery doesn't follow a timeline, and there is no "right" way to heal. What matters is knowing that support, understanding, and hope are available.

At Crime Victim Center, we stand with survivors and those affected by trauma. By raising awareness, reducing stigma, and fostering compassion, we can help create a community where healing is possible.

πŸ“’ Save the Date! πŸ“’

Crime Victim Center is proud to participate in Erie Gives Day on August 11th, 2026!

This annual day of giving is an opportunity to support local nonprofits and make a lasting impact right here in our community. Your donation helps us continue providing critical services, advocacy, prevention education, and support to victims of crime throughout Erie County.

We are less than 2 weeks away from early giving, where the Erie Community Foundation will begin accepting ALL checks and stock gifts.

Mark your calendar and get ready to give where you live! πŸ’™

What an incredible evening at 'Beyond the Pages'!πŸ“–

We're so grateful to everyone who joined us for our discussion of 'The House in the Cerulean Sea'. From thoughtful conversations to watercolor bookmarks with meaningful quotes and keys, the room was filled with connection, creativity, and community.

A special thank you to Tipsy Bean for once again keeping us caffeinated and providing delicious snacks. Your support helps make this space possible. β˜•βœ¨

One of the most rewarding parts of the evening was the conversation. Together, we explored the book's messages of acceptance, love, belonging, and understanding, reflecting on how these themes show up in our communities and in our everyday lives. It was a reminder that some of the most meaningful discussions begin with a simple question and a shared story.

Thank you for helping us create a space where everyone is welcome, every perspective is valued, and great books bring people together. πŸ“–πŸŒŠπŸ”‘

We can't wait to turn the page to our next adventure on September 2nd. Stay tuned for our next book reveal🀭

Tonight at 'Beyond the Pages', we'll be creating watercolor bookmarks inspired by 'The House in the Cerulean Sea' πŸ“–πŸ”‘

Each bookmark will feature a meaningful quote from the book, watercolor designs inspired by the cerulean sea, and a key charm, a symbol woven throughout the story's themes of belonging, acceptance, and finding where you truly fit.

All are welcome & we can't wait to see you there βœ¨πŸ“šπŸ”‘
