In observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday, all Ephrata School District offices,. including schools and the district office, will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, June 19.

Beginning Monday, June 22, district office summer hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Please note: school offices will close for the summer this afternoon.

We wish everyone a safe and restful holiday.

En observancia del feriado federal de Juneteenth, todas las oficinas del Distrito Escolar de Ephrata, incluyendo las escuelas y la oficina del distrito, permanecerán cerradas mañana, jueves 19 de junio.

📣 The Ephrata School District is pleased to announce that Aaron Cummings has been named the next principal of Parkway Intermediate School, beginning July 1, 2026.

Aaron brings more than 30 years of experience serving Ephrata students, staff and families, with leadership roles spanning Parkway Intermediate, Ephrata High School and district administration. His deep understanding of our schools and commitment to student success make him a strong fit to lead Parkway forward.

🎉 We’re excited to announce that Ephrata School District has named Kristy Karman as the district’s next Special Education Director, beginning July 1, 2026.

A proud Ephrata native and Ephrata High School graduate, Kristy brings more than 20 years of experience supporting students, staff, and families through a variety of special education roles. Her return home marks a meaningful full-circle moment for both her and our district.

“We are excited to welcome her home and look forward to the leadership she will bring to Ephrata Schools,” said Assistant Superintendent Aaron Cummings.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Jamie Bessette for her leadership since 2022 and her continued service to students as she transitions back to the classroom at Tiger Cub Preschool.

🎉 Nos emociona anunciar que el Distrito Escolar de Ephrata ha nombrado a Kristy Karman como la próxima Directora de Educación Especial del distrito, a partir del 1 de julio de 2026.

Orgullosamente originaria de Ephrata y egresada de Ephrata High School, Kristy aporta más de 20 años de experiencia apoyando a estudiantes, personal y familias en diversos roles dentro de la educación especial. Su regreso a casa representa un significativo momento de “cierre de ciclo” tanto para ella como para nuestro distrito.

🐯🧡 Cuteness abounds with the Class of 2039! 🧡🐯

Last night, we welcomed our newest Tigers into the Ephrata School District family as they proudly walked in the Sage-N-Sun Kiddie Parade.

From big smiles and waving hands to future dreams and Tiger pride, it was a special evening celebrating the students who will begin kindergarten this fall. We loved seeing our future Tigers and their families join the community tradition and take their first steps as part of the Ephrata School District.

Welcome, Class of 2039. We can't wait to see all you'll accomplish! 🎉

Anoche dimos la bienvenida a nuestros nuevos Tigres a la familia del Distrito Escolar de Ephrata mientras participaban con orgullo en el Desfile Infantil Sage-N-Sun.

Con grandes sonrisas, saludos llenos de emoción y mucho orgullo Tigre, fue una noche muy especial para celebrar a los estudiantes que comenzarán el kínder este otoño. 🤖🌟 From Ephrata to the national stage!

We are proud to share that the Columbia Ridge LEGO Robotics Team recently represented Ephrata School District at the American Robotics Open Championship in New Jersey, competing alongside teams from across the country.

From performing the National Anthem at Opening Ceremonies to earning a personal-best score of 180 points, our students showcased incredible skill, teamwork, and Tiger pride throughout the competition.
