💫 Leadership Coffee County 2026 embarked on a journey to the state capitol today for Session 2 and it was one for the books!

Today, our class traveled to Montgomery for an inside look at State Government in action. From touring the Alabama Supreme Court and State Law Library to exploring the Alabama Archives & History Museum, the day was packed with learning, perspective, and appreciation for how our state operates.

One of the highlights of this session was visiting the State House and getting a firsthand look at the legislative process. We are incredibly grateful to State Representative Rhett Marques and Senator Josh Carnley for taking the time to host our group, share their insights, and provide such a meaningful experience.

Days like this remind us how important leadership, service, and collaboration are at every level—local and state.

Looking forward to what’s ahead for Leadership Coffee County!

Thank you to our 2026 title sponsor, Pilgrim's and transportation sponsor, Mitchell Automotive for supporting our professional development journey!

🎓 Leadership Coffee County Class of 2025 went back to school!

Our Education & Workforce Development Day gave us an inside look at how local programs are preparing students for success — from high school to career and beyond!

We kicked off at the Enterprise Chamber with Leigh Shiver, Director of Workforce Development at Enterprise State Community College, who shared opportunities available through ESCC, including dual enrollment, on-the-job training, and certification programs.

Next, we toured Enterprise Career & Technology Center with Principal Cami McClenny, meeting impressive students from programs like Business & Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Mechatronics, and JAG.

At Enterprise High School, we explored the Building & Construction “tiny house,” Masonry, Welding, Agriscience (with the FFA), and Wildcat Auto programs, followed by a delicious lunch prepared by Mrs. Salmon’s Family & Consumer Science students. We also learned about the state-recognized Wee Cats program from Mrs. Cain and Mrs. King.

We wrapped up at The Tutoring Center, led by class member Jay Desai, where we learned about the academic support and assessments helping local students thrive.

Special thanks to Enterprise Chamber Board Member and EHS Career Counselor, Mrs. Angela Brockman, for helping us coordinate such an impactful visit. A huge thank you to Southeast AlabamaWorks for sponsoring this session and to Mitchell Automotivefor providing outstanding transportation! 🚐✨

It was a day full of inspiration, innovation, and connection—celebrating the people and programs shaping Coffee County’s future workforce! 💼🌟

The Leadership Coffee County Class spent the day gaining an inside look at the vital health and human service organizations that serve our community.

We began our morning at Enterprise Rescue Inc., where we learned about their life-saving operations and got an up-close view of their medical helicopter, made possible through their partnership with PHI Cares - Alabama. From there, we toured the Enterprise State Community College mock hospital, exploring their state-of-the-art facilities and learning about their impressive programs, including Nursing, EMT/Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, and Medication Aide courses.

After enjoying a delicious lunch at Torero’s, we headed to Medical Center Enterprise for a behind-the-scenes tour of various departments and floors. We even rolled up our sleeves (metaphorically) to practice drawing blood!

Our final stop was the Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center, where we spent time with Veteran residents from Command Sgt Maj Bennie G. Adkins State Veterans Home—and even joined in for a lively game of bingo.

As always, we appreciate our program sponsor, Southeast AlabamaWorks for supporting this community initiative. We’d like to thank Mitchell Automotive Group for always ensuring we arrive to our tours safe & sound!

It was a day full of learning, hands-on experiences, and connecting with the people and programs that keep our community healthy and cared for.

What an incredible day on the Leadership Coffee County Economic Development, Business & Industry Tour! 🚌💼

We kicked things off at Wiregrass Economic Development Corporation, where we learned how they’re fueling growth and opportunity throughout our region.

Next, we got a sweet behind-the-scenes look at Hello Chonky Cookie Co inside the Enterprise Business Incubator — from mixing dough to shipping nationwide (yes, even via DoorDash!), their cookie game is next level!

We toured the new facilities at Legacy Travel Center and enjoyed some delicious food by The Outpost Casual Dine In / Take Out.

We then headed over to Ben E. Keith Foods for an impressive tour of their large-scale food and beverage distribution operations.

Our final stop: ALFAB, Inc, where we watched heavy-duty custom builds come to life — right here in Enterprise!

A HUGE thank you to our program sponsor, Southeast AlabamaWorks, for supporting this impactful experience, and to our transportation sponsor, Mitchell Automotive Group, for always getting us safely through our tours!

We’re inspired by the people, passion, and purpose behind Coffee County’s business and industry community ❤️

🚁✨ Leadership Coffee County Takes Flight at U.S. Army Fort Novosel & AVCOE! 🇺🇸

What a jam-packed and unforgettable Military Day! Our Leadership Coffee County class had the incredible opportunity to visit Fort Novosel, where we took a deep dive into the world of Army Aviation. From flying high over Coffee County in a helicopter to testing our skills on aircraft and weapons simulators, it was a day full of hands-on learning and eye-opening experiences.

We explored the rich history and legacy of the installation, met with garrison leadership, and got a firsthand look at the cutting-edge technology shaping the future of Army Aviation. Fort Novosel’s role in our community and our country is truly remarkable, and we’re grateful for the chance to see it in action.

Thank you to the incredible team at Fort Novosel for hosting us and helping us better understand the mission, the people, and the proud tradition that make this post so special.

We’d like to thank Southeast AlabamaWorks for supporting the Leadership Coffee County! Your support helps us facilitate these types of experiences and programs.

Thank you to Mitchell Nissan for always helping us arrive in style!
