TONIGHT IS THE LAST NIGHT - To Remove Everything from the Cemetery that you Want to Keep! If the Decorations, Flowers, Pictures, etc. are in the Cemetery tomorrow, staff will discard them.

Residents, just a quick reminder to have all decorations and items removed from the graves of your loved ones by May 10th to allow for a thorough cemetery clean up! Decorations may be placed back on graves beginning May 21st! Please help pass the word along!

We would like to share the upcoming Iron County Planning Commission meeting, where they will be discussing and considering a proposed Conditional Use Permit for a data mining center in the valley.

This is a friendly reminder that if you want a say in the future of our community, this is where it starts. Public meetings like these are an important opportunity to learn, ask questions, and share your input.

We want to let the public know that cameras have now been installed at the park, with more coming soon! These will be a valuable tool in helping address misconduct, improve safety, and protect our community spaces.

We are aware of the odor that may be coming from the sewer lagoons. After investigating, we identified a piece of equipment that was malfunctioning. Repairs are currently in progress and being handled as quickly as possible.

MILLARD COUNTY WILL HOLD A TOWN HALL MEETING ON MARCH 26 AT 6:00 P.M. AT THE HOLDEN TOWN HALL (185 SOUTH MAIN ST., HOLDEN, UT) TO DISCUSS THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE PROPOSED PEAK POWER GENERATING PLANT. COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AND SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR THIS IMPORTANT PROJECT. ENTERPRISE IS A PARTICIPANT IN THIS PROJECT, AND THE NEED FOR THIS GENERATING RESOURCE WILL DIRECTLY IMPACT OUR COMMUNITY. A PEAK POWER GENERATING PLANT, OFTEN CALLED A PEAKER PLANT, ONLY RUNS WHEN ELECTRICITY DEMAND IS VERY HIGH. MOST OF THE TIME IT SITS IDLE, BUT IT TURNS ON DURING PEAK USAGE TO HELP THE ELECTRICAL GRID KEEP UP AND PREVENT OUTAGES. IT IS OFTEN CONFUSED WITH LARGE POWER PLANTS THAT RUN ALL THE TIME, BUT PEAKER PLANTS OPERATE ONLY WHEN EXTRA POWER IS NEEDED.
