Enola had another residential structure fire yesterday during the day at 11:41am. As a small town volunteer fire dept we all have jobs during the day, saying that we also have great neighboring departments that are always willing to help. So thank you Centerville , Holland, Vilonia , Liberty, ElPaso and Mt.Vernon volunteer fire Dept’s for stepping up and taking the call in this heat.

Had a busy day yesterday with at residential structure fire at 18:38 cleared at 21:00 then a motorcycle wreck at 21:46 cleared at 23:26.

Wanna take a min to thank Holland, and Liberty Fire dept this morning at 2:00 for a barn fire, After getting to seen in 9 min found a fully involved barn that was on fire. The only thing in barn was hay and feed luckily the animals are in another barn. We put 4,500 gallons water.

Yes the burn ban is off but still keep in mind the winter grass is still dry and with a gust of wind it’s out of control, so please burn responsibly! Saying that if you are driving down the road and see a field on fire, smell smoke , or see smoke out in a field just think before you call 911. It is legal to burn stuff (old hay, your field ) but if it is a large fire please call it in. It just the one phone call. Because if not we get paged out and go looking for it and it waste fuel on our personnel, vehicles, and fire apparatus with the high cost of fuel right now, it takes a lot of time and money. Working on a small budget and low personnel it makes it hard so if you’d like to join the Fire Dept, please let us know.
