Although pollinator conservation is a big task, it all begins with each of us adopting four simple steps: growing pollinator-friendly flowers, providing nest sites and shelter, avoiding pesticides, and spreading the word. With these core values, you can create conditions to support the entire life cycle of pollinators in any location, whether you tend an urban community garden or a suburban yard, work in a city park or on a farm. Make your commitment to these four principles official by signing the Pollinator Protection Pledge!

Applications are closing tomorrow, June 5, 2026 at 11:59pm CT for Keep Texas Beautiful’s Young Texan Ambassadors program, and we need your help sharing this opportunity with young leaders in your community!

Young Texan Ambassadors is a statewide leadership and service program for Texas youth who are passionate about litter prevention, beautification, recycling, environmental education, and community improvement. Through virtual meetings and educational opportunities, Ambassadors connect with peers across Texas, learn from environmental and community leaders, and build the skills to turn their ideas into action.

Because program meetings and educational sessions are virtual, youth can participate from communities across the state. Even if there is not a nearby Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate, YTA can be a great way for young people to begin building local community engagement.

Many Ambassadors connect with local partners such as Texas Master Naturalist chapters, Native Plant Society of Texas chapters, local parks, schools, libraries, city departments, neighborhood groups, and other community organizations to complete projects and grow their impact.
