Wes Stampley for Mayor of Ennis, TX

Wes Stampley for Mayor of Ennis, TX I am a lifelong resident of Ennis,TX. I believe that my conservative views and economic responsibili How you ask? Our town is good, it could be great!

I can bring forth a plan of action to improve the quality of life for our citizens, from lower taxes to improved services. By not wasting money on pet projects as favors to friends and engaging in projects to help the taxpayers in our community, not cater to would-be tourists that might stop by. I will end "good 'ol boy" deals and insist on fiscal responsibility, law enforcement and quality of lif

e. We need new leadership. I am beholden to no-one, other than God, I am not "in the loop" or an elite. I hold allegiance to the United States of American and the rights and laws guaranteed by the Constitution for ALL citizens of this great Nation.

Mayor Angie wanted to make sure we knew that THIS event was free. I take that as a back-sided insult to those who had a problem with the $5 (it's ONLY $5!) crowd, I being one of them. First it wasn't JUST $5, it was $5 per day, per person. Plus they walled off the vendors in their "rent-a-fence" which required you to pay to shop. It's nice to know that Ennis is not charging for air and that we peons can go "fly a kite".

Everything is NOT perfect in Ennis, just another example. Call me "negative nancy" or whatever, THIS must stop! I will not sit idly by with my head stuck in the sand and ignore this behavior. Where is the outrage from our current leadership about ANY of this? They just want to talk about Bluebonnets and how wonderful everything is. Denying reality is a great way to create more victims.

From the Buzz, the real story of why the original page was removed. If anyone else says they did it, step back and let them know that they didn't. It was Facebook and Facebook alone that "nuked" the page. I knew the truth moments after it happened, but I just sat back and watched people brag about it.

This is a particularly difficult confession to make, this is a burden I have been carrying for 15 years. Tisha Lynn Barnes Brown brought this up in a conversation on Ennis Buzz, News and Talk regarding a thread about Trevor Wilhoite who you all know I support for Mayor. Tisha went completely off-topic and told me that she knew "I wasn't a good person, RIP JAN". As many of you know my late wife Jan Dolen Tyner Stampley, committed su***de while I was working overtime coincidentally on Good Friday, I found out not long ago that some rumors were that she had a heart attack, I let that be. The truth of the matter is, that after 13 years of marriage Jan came to me and informed me that she was a le***an, I told her if that was the case then I could no longer be married to her as my beliefs don't allow for that. 3 days later, when I was at work, she drove out into the country, put a .25 caliber gun to her head, and pulled the trigger. I have never shared that except with a few to spare her memory from being tarnished for her friends and family, so I just let them hate me and think whatever they wanted to. I will carry this burden no more.
