Yes, I am running for City Council...a girl can change her might, can't she.
I was asked why at the 11th hour did I decide to run for City Council. The Englewood Herald asked all the candidates as well ..Here is the response I gave to them

Why did you decide to run?

Citizens were concerned about running, they were turned off by the political cancel culture antics prior to and surrounding the 2019 District 3 election, and they believe this culture remains. I know, I lived through it, understandably creating a challenging, dark time in my life. Not only did I survive, I am much stronger as a result. In the end, I decided to run because so many people encouraged me to use that experience, strength, and conviction to provide District 3 with the representation they deserve. To give them a voice, to listen, provide transparency, and participate in regular open honest communication.

Glad the US Supreme Court stood up for our Rights when those elected DO NOT---clip--"The United States Supreme Court has ruled that California Governor Gavin Newsom’s orders banning indoor church services may violate the Constitution’s protections on religion. The order effectively lifts the state ban on indoor religious gatherings.

In a 6-3 decision, the Justices granted an appeal late Friday evening from a south San Diego church that challenged the restrictions. The ruling set aside decisions by federal judges in San Diego and San Bernardino and the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. All of those courts upheld the state’s orders."

Amazing heroism from our Veterans!

On September 5, 1942, United States Navy Messman Charles Jackson French swam through the night for 6 - 8 hours pulling a raft of 15 wounded sailors with a rope around his stomach through shark infested waters. The U.S. Navy Ship the U.S.S. Gregory was hit by Japanese naval fire in the South Pacific. Many were wounded and killed. French successfully brought these men to safety on the shores of The Solomon Islands. French was the first black swimmer to earn the Navy Medal for his heroism in 1943. We remember Charles Jackson French and commemorate his heroism and incredible swimming to celebrate Black History Month. Thank you for your service and your valor, Mr. French. 💪🏾🌊
