Join EWD on Independence Day in remembrance of those who have fought and served for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE: WATERING RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED 🚨

Due to ongoing drought conditions throughout our region, the Southwest Florida Water Management District has extended the Modified Phase III “Extreme” Water Shortage restrictions until October 1, 2026.

Under these restrictions, lawn watering remains limited to ONE day per week and only during the following time periods:

12:01 a.m. – 4:00 a.m. OR
8:00 p.m. – 11:59 p.m.

Your assigned watering day is based on the last digit of your address:

• 0–1: Monday
• 2–3: Tuesday
• 4–5: Wednesday
• 6–7: Thursday
• 8–9: Friday

⚠️ Enforcement remains in effect. Violations of these restrictions may result in an immediate citation and fine. Residents are expected to know and follow the current watering schedule.

Additional restrictions also remain in place:

💧 Hand watering is only allowed before 8:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m.
🚗 Car washing is only permitted on your assigned watering day and must use a hose equipped with a shutoff nozzle.
⛲ Decorative fountains may operate no more than 4 hours per day.
🏡 HOAs cannot require residents to water more frequently than these restrictions allow.

Water conservation continues to be critical as our area experiences prolonged dry conditions. We appreciate everyone doing their part to help protect our community's water resources.

Before you panic, it's all part of our smoke testing process! Englewood Water District crews are conducting smoke testing in select areas of our service district to help identify leaks, defects, and improper connections within the sewer system.

💧 Water Restriction Reminder 💧

We're reminding our Englewood Water customers that Phase 3 Watering Restrictions remain in effect until July 1st,2026!

Please take a moment to check your irrigation timers and ensure they are set according to the current watering schedule. Conserving water helps protect our shared resources and ensures a reliable water supply for our community.

Englewood Water District has contracted with USSI to perform sewer inspections and smoke testing in the Englewood Isles and Alameda Isles neighborhoods, beginning on Monday, June 1st, 2026. Door hangers will be placed throughout the neighborhood prior to any work beginning.

Smoke testing involves forcing smoke into the sanitary sewer lines and will check for leaks, breaks, and defects in the system. The smoke used for this test is manufactured for this purpose, leaves no residuals or stains, is completely safe, odorless, does not create a fire hazard and does not affect plants and animals.

This smoke testing is part of our continuing effort to maintain and improve the sewer system throughout the Englewood Water District.
