ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

Healthcare should be accessible to the people who need it. 💙

Englewood Community Care Clinic provides no-cost medical care to eligible, uninsured adults in our community.

You may qualify if you:

👤 Are 18–64 years old

🩺 Do not have health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid

💰 Meet the clinic's income guidelines — up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level

📍 Live in Charlotte or Sarasota County, including North Port

Our medical clinic is walk-in only and operates Monday and Thursday evenings. New patients complete paperwork and go through an eligibility screening when they arrive.

Because eligibility requirements are tied to the Federal Poverty Levels, which are updated annually, and available services may change, we recommend contacting the clinic directly for the most current information.

Wondering what happens when you come to the clinic?

Karen Bodo, our Eligibility Screener, walks you through the process in this video — but here's a quick overview of what to expect:

1️⃣ Walk in
Medical care is provided on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is needed for medical care.

2️⃣ Complete your paperwork
New patients will complete the necessary paperwork when they arrive.

3️⃣ Eligibility screening
Our eligibility team will review information including your household size and income to determine whether you meet the clinic's eligibility requirements. We ask clinic patients to provide verification of their last 4 weeks of income (pay stubs, direct deposit notices, bank statements, etc.) If that information is not available, please discuss with your eligibility screener.

4️⃣ See a provider
If you are eligible, you'll see a healthcare provider that evening, as capacity allows.

You may be eligible if you are:
✔️ 18–64 years old
✔️ Uninsured — without health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid
✔️ Within the clinic's current income guidelines — up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level
✔️ A resident of Charlotte or Sarasota County, including North Port

Our team works to connect eligible patients with healthcare and support that might otherwise be difficult to access. This includes primary medical care for residents of Charlotte and Sarasota counties, dental services for eligible Charlotte County residents, and medication assistance.

Compassionate care for everyday health needs.

Preventive and restorative dental care for eligible Charlotte County residents only. Dental services are available Tuesdays by appointment only.

Support for managing ongoing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and more.

❤️ Health Education
Resources and guidance to help you better understand and manage your health.

🤝 Compassionate Support
Because healthcare isn't just about treating a condition — it's about treating people with dignity, respect, and care.

If you're new here, we're so glad you found us.

Englewood Community Care Clinic exists because we believe that quality healthcare should be available to everyone.

We are a nonprofit community clinic dedicated to providing compassionate healthcare to eligible uninsured adults in our community. But what happens inside these walls is about so much more than a medical appointment.

It's about people.

It's about the healthcare professionals who give their time and expertise.

It's about volunteers who show up because they believe in serving others.

It's about patient advocates who help people navigate barriers to care.

It's about community members, donors, partners, and supporters who make this work possible.

And most importantly, it's about the patients who walk through our doors.
We want every person who comes to Englewood Community Care Clinic to feel welcomed, respected, heard, and cared for.
