England Police Department Responds to School Threat; Arrest Made Following Investigation
England, Arkansas — September 4, 2026 — The England Police Department responded Thursday, September 3, to England Elementary School following a medical emergency involving a 10-year-old female student.
While medical personnel were treating the student, England Police officers became aware of information indicating a potential threat to the school. Officers immediately initiated an investigation and responded to a residence in England associated with the reported threat.
As a result of the investigation, Nickie Rogers was taken into custody. Officers subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence, where they recovered suspected illegal drugs and a firearm.
Rogers is currently being held in the Lonoke County Detention Center. Charges include:
· One count of threatening to commit an act of mass violence on school property
· Possession of fi****ms by certain persons
· Endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree
· Possession of co***ne
· Possession of ma*****na
· Possession of drug paraphernalia
· Simultaneous possession of drugs and fi****ms
The England Police Department would like to commend the officers and emergency personnel who responded quickly and professionally to the situation. The department also appreciates the cooperation of school officials and the community as officers worked to address the potential threat and protect students and staff.
Chief Richard Harper stated, “The safety of our children, our schools, and our entire community is our highest priority. When information comes to our attention that could represent a threat to our students or the public, our officers will respond immediately and take every necessary step to protect our community. We are grateful for the quick actions of our officers and our emergency partners, and we encourage anyone with information about a potential threat to report it to law enforcement.”
The investigation remains ongoing. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
