***PRESS RELEASE***

On 9/6/26 at 1231 AM the Entield Police Dept responded to a reported assault at 374 George Washington Rd, Enfield CT. Officers found an adult male victim who had been stabbed and received non-life-threatening injuries. That male victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and is currently in stable condition.

This case remains under investigation by the Enfield Police Department Detective Bureau. There have been no arrests made at this time and there is no on-going threat to the public.

Happy Friday Enfield! We’d like to introduce you to your newest Enfield Police officers whom were sworn in today at ceremony at the Enfield Police Department:

Officer Andrew Loftus (1015) grew up in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. He attended Western New England University, and transferred to Pensacola Christian College, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has experience working as a general contractor, a field engineer, and most recently, a project manager for the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission.

Officer Shomaria Graham (1016) was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. She attended Westfield State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She later attended Southern New Hampshire University, earning a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, with a concentration in Cybersecurity, at Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to joining the EPD, she worked in the banking industry. She also previously interned with the federal court in Springfield.

Officers Loftus and Graham will attend the New Britain Police Academy, Session 28, beginning on September 18th.

We welcome Andrew and Shomaria to Enfield and wish them luck at the academy!

The Enfield Police Department requests assistance in identifying the individual depicted in this photograph. The suspect completed a larceny in excess of $700.00 from Marshalls on August 27th. ***Retirements & Promotions at the Enfield Police Department***

Today, the Enfield Police Department has the honor of recognizing two dedicated members as they begin their well-deserved retirements, while also celebrating the promotion of five members of our department.

After an incredible 44 years of service, Lieutenant Willie Pedemonti has officially retired. Lieutenant Thomas Foy also retired after an impressive 32 years of dedicated service to the Enfield Police Department. Both Lt. Pedemonti and Lt. Foy have dedicated decades of their lives to serving the Enfield community, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment, leadership, and service. We wish them both all the best as they begin this next chapter!

This afternoon, we also gathered in the Council Chambers at Enfield Town Hall for a promotion ceremony honoring five members of the department as they take on new responsibilities:

Sergeant Eric Horan — Promoted to Lieutenant
Sergeant Jason Rutovich — Promoted to Lieutenant
Officer Austin Agnew — Promoted to Sergeant
Officer Tyler Crochiere — Promoted to Sergeant
Officer Daniel LeClair — Promoted to Detective

These promotions represent not only professional accomplishments, but also the trust and confidence placed in these officers to lead, serve, and continue making a difference in our community.

Please join us in congratulating Lt. Pedemonti and Lt. Foy on their retirements, and Lt. Horan, Lt. Rutovich, Sgt. Agnew, Sgt. Crochiere, and Det. LeClair on their well-deserved promotions!

On 08/30/26 at 1:28 a.m. officers responded to the area of High St and Sullivan Ave for a report of an altercation involving a stabbing. The stabbing victim was a juvenile and multiple juvenile suspects were arrested to include the individual believed to have committed the stabbing. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

At this time the suspects are being charged with the following:

Juvenile Suspect 1: Assault 1st degree, Carrying a dangerous weapon, Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, Breach of Peace 2nd degree

Juvenile Suspect 2: Reckless endangerment 2nd degree, Threatening 2nd degree, and Breach of Peace 2nd degree

Juvenile Suspect 3: Reckless endangerment 2nd degree, Threatening 2nd degree, and Breach of Peace 2nd degree

As summer winds down, EPD takes the field! 🚔 🥎

Over 30 members of the Enfield Police Department got together yesterday evening for a friendly softball game in front of family and friends at Brainerd Park.

We’re happy to report that the EPD team came out on top! Yes… both teams were EPD.

There was plenty of competition, a few questionable calls, some impressive plays, and, if we’re being honest, probably plenty of soreness today.

It was a great night of fun, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition with some of the people we’re proud to call our EPD family.

Now, to all the departments, organizations, businesses, or groups out there who think they can take us on. Just let us know. But keep in mind… we’re undefeated. 😂🤣

Today members of Enfield PD, Hazardville FD, North Thompsonville FD and Thompsonville FD went “Over the Edge” of Mohegan Sun. Approximately $9,100 was raised for this event with all proceeds given to Special Olympics Connecticut. We want to share with you our experience and for those of you wondering, that’s about 35 stories, or 350 feet!!

These two dogs were recently found or turned in after roaming. Neither dog had identification tags or a microchip when scanned. Both dogs will be available for adoption after August 29th.
