📚 Volunteers Needed for Our Scholastic Book Fair! 📚

We are looking for a few volunteers to help keep our Scholastic Book Fair running smoothly on Tuesday, May 12th!

✨ Volunteer Opportunities:

🛍 2 Volunteers Needed to Help run the cash register: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

📦 2 Volunteers - Help break down the event: 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Our book fair is a favorite event for so many students and families, and we truly appreciate any time you can give to help make it a success!

It’s that time of year again! We are now accepting nominations for our School PTO Board for the upcoming school year. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved, support our students and teachers, and help make a positive impact in our school community.

• Treasurer

🗳️ Elections will take place at our May PTO Meeting next month. All nominees will be announced prior to the vote.

📱 We’re Looking for a Social Media Savvy Star! 🌟
Do you live on Instagram? Are you a Facebook pro? Does the thought of "gaining traction" and "engagement" get you excited? If so, the Hazardville Memorial Elementary School PTO needs YOU!
We are looking for a creative, tech-savvy volunteer to help us level up our digital presence. Our goal is to keep our community connected, informed, and excited about everything happening at our school.

What you’ll be doing:
🎤 Event Coverage: Creating buzz for upcoming events (Spirit Nights, Book Fairs, etc.).
💬 Community Connection: Monitoring comments and answering questions to keep our parents in the loop.
📈 Boosting Reach: Helping us grow our followers and making sure our posts actually get seen!
🎨 Creative Content: Sharing the "heart" of our school through fun updates and photos.

Why join us? You can do most of this from your phone while waiting in the carpool line! It’s a low-stress, high-impact way to support our students and teachers without needing to be on campus every day.

Thank you again to everyone who came out yesterday to cheer and guide through each obstacle station all of the students at our Spirit Run. A BIG SHOUT OUT to those who donated to our Spirit Run every bit helps to create wonderful learning opportunities and fun events so with that thank you. Our winning class with the highest raised donations was 1st Grade- Wisnesky winning lunch with Officer Jerry and a delicious frozen treat.

KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR MORE PTO FAMILY EVENTS TO COME!

REMINDER: UPCOMING PTO MEETING 11.5.25 @ 6pm in the HMS Library. Children are welcome to attend. Please come to share feedback on previous events, fundraising ideas, or fun events for students/ families you would love to see in our School community. YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Today is the Spirit Run!! Thank you for all those who have donated and signed up for cheering on our kiddos. If you’ve signed up to cheer today please arrive at HMS 15 mins early so that you can sign in with the office. Once signed in please head to the field. Remember to dress in layers as this morning will be chilly and of course show those school colors of blue and white. Let’s have fun see you there!

We are in the final days of our Shoe Fundraiser at HMS and we're still in desperate need of shoes. Donating helps us to raise money for our kids that provides fun educational educational experiences and school community events along with showing appreciation to our teachers. We are looking for shoes ranging from adults -kids - babies from slippers, boots, high heels, flip flops, water shoes to sneakers. The only rule of donation is that the sole of the shoe is intact and there are no holes. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Thank you!
