As EMS Week comes to a close, our 2026 Awards Banquet provided a meaningful opportunity to pause and acknowledge the professionalism, compassion, and commitment quietly demonstrated each day by our region’s EMS professionals. Alongside friends, family members, coworkers, and community partners, we were proud to recognize several individuals and agencies for their accomplishments and continued dedication to prehospital emergency medical care within the Susquehanna Region.

The SREMS Council, its Executive Committee and REMAC would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who attended, as well as to those whose time and effort helped make the evening possible. This year’s event was among our most successful, and we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and participation shown throughout every stage of the process - from the submission of nominations and event planning to the celebration itself.

A special thank you to Faith Vavra, Congressman Josh Riley, and Assemblyman Joe Angelino for their personal recognition of our award recipients; to Scott Gurney, Lorin Missavage, and the entire team at UHS for graciously providing the venue and catering for our event; and to Mike and his son, Mike Jr., at The House of Trophies in Binghamton for their expertise and craftsmanship in designing and creating the plaques presented to each honoree.

SREMS 2026 EMS Awards: Now Accepting Nominations!

The Susquehanna Regional EMS Council is proud to once again recognize several outstanding EMS providers and agencies from across our region. This year’s EMS award categories parallel the New York State Bureau of EMS awards, and individuals selected for regional recognition may also be submitted for consideration at the state level.

Both agencies and individuals are encouraged to submit nominations through the attached link. Our annual Awards Ceremony will take place later this year, date TBD.

**NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MARCH 1, 2026**
