858-633-7238 Can you imagine a life without friends?

Friendship is one of life’s necessities, but for many children with disabilities--true friendship is just a dream. The Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization that fosters friendships between children, teens, and young adults with disabilities and their typically developing peers; providing social, recreational, and educational experiences. The Friendship Circle believes every individual, regardless of ability, is a productive member of the community.

Every individual deserves experiences, friendships, and memories that last a lifetime. ❤️

“FCSD means a lot to me because it gives kids the experiences and memories they should be able to have.”

What comes to mind when you think of Friendship Circle?

For us, it’s moments like these.

A hug that lasts a little longer.
Someone being included without needing to ask.
People just showing up for each other, naturally.

This is what’s been built here over time — not perfect, not staged, just real.

And honestly, that only exists because of this community.

If Friendship Circle has ever been part of your life in any way, we’d really appreciate your vote.

A little brave, a little curious… and a camel who was very ready for a snack 🐪

One of our cute moments from Friendship Circle of S. Diego’s trip to camel farm.

Just Friendship Circle things 💜

Where friendships grow.
Where everyone belongs.
Where community feels like family.

You can call it motor skills.
Hand-eye coordination.
Social development. Balance. Confidence.

We just call it friendship.

This is what happens when our friends get space to move, play, and be together — passing, kicking, laughing, and cheering each other on. No pressure. Just connection. 💙

You can see it before you read it.
The smiles. The laughter. The pride after trying something new.

At Friendship Dojo, joy shows up in big movements and small moments—
a high-five that says you’ve got this,
a shared laugh that turns effort into fun,
and the confidence that grows when everyone feels supported.

This is what happens when kids and teens are given space to move, connect, and be themselves—together. 💜

Where do you see joy showing up in your own life lately?

Some of the most meaningful moments are the simple ones.

The ones where no one is trying to impress anyone.
Where people feel comfortable just being themselves.
Where no one is wondering if they belong.

That's what Sunday Circles are about.
A space where you don't have to change who you are to fit in.
You just have to be welcomed.

And that kind of community is what makes this so meaningful. 🩵
