The Sheriff's Sale of Real Property located at 1062 Old West Creek Rd., originally scheduled for April 14th, 2026, has been postponed at the request of the Plaintiff. The new date for this sale is 6/9/2026.

The Cameron County Sheriff is seeking applicants for a part-time position as Deputy Sheriff.

Duties include but are not limited to providing facility and court security, serving warrants and Protection from Abuse Orders as directed by the Court, conducting background investigations related to License to Carry or License to Sell Fi****ms, and transporting and monitoring detained persons in the Sheriff’s custody.

The successful applicant must have the ability to pass a Criminal Background Check, possess a valid PA Driver’s License with a good driving history, and must possess or be willing to obtain Act 1984-2/Act 2014-114 (Sheriff/Deputy Sheriff Basic or Waiver Training) and maintain certification along with completing yearly training and continuing education consisting of legal updates required to maintain Act 2 certification.

There have been a series of scam calls going around. The caller claims to be with the Sheriff's Office and informs the potential victims that they missed jury duty and have citations and fines. The caller will then attempt to get the victim to pay said fines over the phone.

The Cameron County Sheriff's Office DOES NOT issue citations pertaining to jury duty, NOR do we attempt to collect any money for fines, over the phone or otherwise. Please DO NOT give your banking or card information to anyone claiming to be from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

We will be unable to process License To Carry (LTC) applications and renewals from Tuesday, Nov. 25th through the end of the week.

We will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26th and Friday, Nov. 27th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will resume normal hours and LTC issuance Dec. 1st.

Between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM last evening, there were 2 young ladies that rode their bicycles to the courthouse and stopped at the picnic table out front by the cannons. This morning, a county employee found a cell phone in that area. It can be claimed at the Sheriff's Office. Please share this so we can get it returned. A description will be required to verify ownership. Thanks!!
